OK - here's an idea. Rather than us all wandering off in all different directions and promising vaguely to get together again, why don't we all form a network together and actually bolt best practice onto something substantial, something real, something meaningful?

Something that's ours... something that really motivates people. Like their kids education.

So for $30 I've just bought www.myeducationwriter.com. And - only cos I want an invite back to NY for our twice yearly board meetings - going forward I'll keep 5%; 95% belongs to CNYU School of Journalism. It's yours, Jeff.

A thank you for refusing to let journalism go quietly into the night.

And before we all go figure, out of that one, 30 buck hub you now have the ability to drill down to every school and college gate in the US and employ every local newspaper schools writer in country, sign up every PTA blogger in the country... and just think of the national news stories that you can drive through the mother site and from there cascade down to www.myeducationwriter.com/ca/bakersfield...

Only one condition - let's work on sourcing our own local advertising. Let Mr BlogAds go play with Paris Hilton.

Other than that, let's work it out people...
